Why AMPS

Repairs today. Robotics-ready tomorrow.

How skilled technicians repair, maintain and service vehicles lives in their hands and heads. Robots are now learning manual work from recordings of people doing it. Physical AI for repair won't come from simulation alone. It needs real data from real workshops, and almost nobody is collecting it yet.

The aftersales reality

Skilled repair know-how goes unrecorded. Physical AI needs it.

The challenge Robots need real repair data Physical AI is coming to the workshop, but it can only learn from real examples of skilled repair work.
The AMPS answer Anonymised, structured repair data that physical-AI models can learn from.
The challenge Know-how is never recorded How experienced technicians actually work lives in their hands and heads. It is rarely written down.
The AMPS answer Every repair recorded: movements, times, decision paths and key moments, captured as the work happens.
The challenge Every site works differently Methods and repair times vary between dealers and sites, and catalogue times rarely show what really happens in the bay.
The AMPS answer Measured repair times per step, comparable across sites and against OEM times.

Six things that make AMPS repair data useful for physical AI.

Physical-AI models are only as good as the demonstrations they learn from. Every AMPS capture is built to be real, complete, consistent and safe to use.

01Real workCaptured in live repair, maintenance and service jobs, not staged demonstrations.
02First-personSmart-glasses video of hand-eye coordination, as the technician sees it.
03TimedRepair times logged per step, comparable with OEM catalogue times.
04ContextualKey moments, tools, checks and decision paths tagged.
05AnonymisedPeople, number plates and customer data removed before processing.
06Structured for AISegmented, labelled and aligned with timings so models can learn.
Workshop benefits over time

What each workshop gains along the way.

The data captured in your bays is not only useful to physical AI. It also makes your own workshop easier to run, easier to train for and better prepared for automation.

Short term Data captured, work done. From the first day of the programme, repair, maintenance and service work in the agreed repair areas is captured, and the work itself is completed.
Mid term Your repairs become your training. The anonymised captures from your own location become the AMPS Repair Library, plus insight into how work really flows in your bays.
Long term Physical AI at your own sites. When robot-assisted repair arrives, it is expected to start with mundane, repetitive activities. Your captured workflows give you a head start.
Optional service · priced separately

AMPS Repair Library.

Location-specific, step-by-step training material built from real repairs in your own workshop: on the vehicles you service, with your tools and your bay layout. It is kept up to date as new repairs are captured, so less-experienced staff can carry out defined jobs with guidance and new staff get up to speed faster.

The Repair Library is an optional service on top of a programme. It is priced separately and not part of the programme price. Only anonymised captures are used.
