Repair areas

Six repair areas. Real workshop work, captured for physical AI.

Each area covers repair, maintenance and service work. AMPS captures how that work is done during real jobs, so physical AI, robots that perceive, decide and act, can learn the task. The work itself is completed along the way. Select an area to see the work covered, the data we record and what it can teach robots.

Service & maintenance

Scheduled maintenance and service, APK / MOT preparation, brakes and suspension. The same tasks repeat across brands, sites and dealer networks, which makes this the most consistent source of comparable data, and the clearest path for physical AI to learn routine maintenance steps.

At Tesla in Grünheide, selected employees wear cameras that record how they grip tools, handle parts and carry out work steps, to teach the Optimus humanoid robot. Capture overview

What we capture, area by area.

Four types of data, recorded during real repair, maintenance and service jobs: the inputs a physical-AI model needs to learn a workshop task. The exact capture scope for your site, group or network is agreed in writing before the programme starts, and everything is anonymised before it is processed.

Why the data is worth learning from.

Robots should learn from work done well. Capture is carried out by AMPS technicians employed by AutoMPS LLP, working to one standard under an AMPS programme lead, so data from different repair areas, sites and networks can be compared and trained on.

01Well educatedFormal automotive training, so the captured method is a correct one.
02ExperiencedYears of hands-on work in real workshops: the skilled examples robots should learn from.
03Tech-fluentAt ease with OEM testers, tablets and digital workflows.
04EquippedTablets, smart glasses and video provided by AMPS.
05Data-trainedTrained to capture repair steps, timings and key moments without slowing the job.
06Privacy-awareKnow what is recorded, what is not, and that data is anonymised before processing.
